Citizen Action

During his visit to Cradles to Crayons in 2005, former President Clinton stressed the importance and power of citizen action, calling it “the great hope for our country and the world in the 21st century.”

We provide ways for the community to work together, making citizen action possible for everyone. The direct results are tangible—a specific child receives the help he or she needs as another specific child starts to learn the value of their treasures and the power of sharing and giving.

Child poverty, poor health, and lack of educational achievement affect all of us. More American children live in poverty than any other age group in the nation. Each of us has a stake in seeing that every child gets off to a decent, dignified, complete, healthy and nourished start.
