Children under the age of five are more likely to live in poverty than any other age group.* Because they're poor, they are more at risk for accidents and injury than other children. Homeless children visit an emergency room on average three times a year for illness or injury.**

It's expensive to equip a nursery with a crib and bedding, baby monitor, clothes, diapers, and all the other things newborns need. The car seat so the baby rides safely home from the hospital. A safety gate to protect against falling down stairs. Locks to limit access to dangerous substnaces in cupboards. Covers for electrical outlets.

Keeping babies safe is a priority for us. Help make a child's home safer by donating safety products that are new or "good as new" and meet manufacturer and U.S. Consumer Safety Protection Commission standards for safety.
