The nonprofit hires for key roles of VP of Program Operations and VP of Development
Boston, MA- Cradles to Crayons®, a nonprofit organization that equips children from birth through age 12 living in homeless or low-income situations with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school, and at play – is happy to announce the addition of two new hires. Karen Grant joins the organization as Vice President of Development while Daniel Vidaña joins as Vice President of Program Operations.
Grant is an accomplished development professional with more than a decade of leadership and strategy experience. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Development and Communications for Peace First, an organization dedicated to empowering students to become peacemakers through community service. In her role, Grant was responsible for creating and implementing a national strategy to deepen donor engagement and raise awareness of the organization’s mission. Prior to working at Peace First, Grant held several positions in the political realm. Grant has a strong passion for social justice and brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to her new role at Cradles to Crayons.
Daniel Vidaña is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience merging leadership, creativity and business insight. Vidaña brings a solid business and supply chain management background to his new role, as well as a strong record of developing high-performing global businesses. Vidaña is relocating from Southern California where he worked in a variety of senior operations roles for market leaders such as Apple Inc., Provide Commerce, Verifone and Universal Electronics during periods of high growth. Over the last several years, Vidaña also founded and managed a non-profit youth soccer league, helping thousands of high school athletes gain exposure to college scouts in pursuit of athletic and merit scholarship opportunities.
