WINTER COLLECTION DRIVE 

Since 2002, Cradles to Crayons has been committed to filling unmet basic needs for low-income and homeless children living at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines to expand their opportunities to prosper and to advance a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive society. C2C’s primary focus is to mitigate Clothing Insecurity – the lack of access to affordable, adequate, and appropriate clothing – and promotes school readiness. Clothing Insecurity contributes to children’s poor attention spans, absenteeism, places them at risk for ill health, impedes their sense of confidence, and threatens their chances of academic and workforce success.

This year, they will aim to distribute 120,200 winter items, including 33,000 coats, 25,900 hat and glove sets, and more to children across Massachusetts. Already struggling to make ends meet before the national health crisis, the families/caregivers that we serve have been hit hard by unemployment and the other negative effects of the pandemic.

Every winter, Cradles to Crayons and CFGI focus on collecting winter clothing items to help prevent children face the crippling cold winter weather with the proper gear.
