Project 351 Local Impact Day

"It’s important to know that you are part of this community of servers. And, to take joy and pride in it. Every action, when performed with enthusiasm and dedication, can truly have an impact on our community. It’s transformative. It’s lasting. Through you and those gestures of grace, we will build a better Commonwealth and a better world."
-Governor Deval Patrick, Honorary Chair, Project 351
Cradles to Crayons is proud to be partnering with Project 351 for the Local Impact Day for Earth Day/Global Youth Service Day. By joining with Cradles to Crayons Spring Greening initiative you will be part of a movement to unite communities in support of vulnerable children and share Earth-friendly lessons and inspire environmental actions. Spring Greening will feature local product drives for gently-used children's clothing and shoes and highlight "recycling for good".
Ready to make an impact by recycling for good? Follow these steps:
- Fill out and email the completed registration form to Julia Boyaval juliab@cradlestocrayons.org by March 29th. Click here to download another copy of the registration form.
- Enlist friends, classmates, teammates, community leaders and/or family members to help with your collection drive.
- Reference the resources in your Toolkit and participate in weekly Coaching Calls (refer to your timeline) to be inspired and energized to start your Spring Greening Collection.
- Put out your collection bins, spread the word, and begin to reduce, reuse, and recycle!.
- Use your Impact Sheet to measure your results and bring your donations to one of several regional drop-off locations by May 5th, 2012. Details on locations will be announced the week of April 2nd.
- Cradles to Crayons and Project 351 will tally the total impact of these collections and report back to participants. We'll celebrate the impact and reflect upon the tangible difference we have made in the lives of children throughout the Commonwealth.
