Many of you know that I work for a non-profit organization, Cradles to Crayons. I work with a great team of people!

Our mission is to provide children from birth through age 12 living in low-income or homeless situations with the essentials they need to thrive – at home, at school, and at play.

With the help of thousands of volunteers, our small staff was able to help more than 70,000 kids in the Greater Philadelphia region last year.

The work we do is critical. Philadelphia is unfortunately ranked first among major cities in terms of deep poverty, which is living on an income of HALF the poverty level. For a family of 4, that means getting by on less than $12,000 per year.

When Cradles to Crayons supplies those children with a customized KidPack full of clothing, shoes, a winter coat, toys, books, school supplies and more, we are helping them with basic essentials that every kids needs, just to be a kid.

A KidPack includes hundreds of dollars worth of items and is free to the families we support, but costs us an average of $33 to process donated goods and produce each customized package.
