A drive can last for a day, a week, or a month and you choose the dates that are convenient for you and your organization. You can hold the drive in your community, school or workplace. The Community Outreach staff at Cradles to Crayons can provide you with all the tools you need to make your drive a success!

Want some ideas on what to collect? Certain items are more critical to C2C at different points throughout the year. Consult the calendar below to see what we suggest you collect and when:

January-April: Spring Greening: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Make C2C a part of your spring cleaning ritual, and encourage friends, neighbors, and colleagues to do the same by cleaning their closets and donating any clothes, toys, books, and more to C2C.

April-June: Gear Up for Baby: C2C is committed to keeping children safe. Join our efforts to provide our most vulnerable population with the very basics. Consult our comprehensive list of donation guidelines to see what critically needed baby items you can collect for C2C.

May-June: Ready for School: C2C is dedicated to improving children’s self esteem and starting them off on the right foot with quality school supplies and a new backpack. Collect new backpacks and school supplies to help C2C reach its 2011 goal of providing 15,000 stuffed backpacks to children in need.

September-February: Gear Up for Winter: As the weather grows colder and budgets are stretched thin, low-income families will find it increasingly challenging to provide their children with the essential gear they need to face the harsh winter. Help 10,000 local children brave the cold winter months with coats, boots and other warm winter gear.
