Families and Individuals

Cradles to Crayons began as an effort by one individual who was determined to make a difference in the world. Today, the Cradles to Crayons community numbers thousands of youth and adults working together to make a difference in the lives of tens of thousands of children each year.

Family volunteering with Cradles to Crayons provides parents with an opportunity to teach their children the values of service and philanthropy. Working together, families can make a real difference in the lives of children in need in our own communities.

At the Cradles to Crayons warehouse, your volunteer work might include one of these activities: sorting recently donated children’s items, inspecting clothing for rips and stains, cleaning and testing toys, organizing books & school supplies, or matching up outfits for clothing packs, all while keeping in mind our mantra: Quality = Dignity. It’s fun, hands-on work that directly benefits homeless and low-income children in Greater Philadelphia!
