Cradles to Crayons is pleased to announce the 2012 season of the Cradles to Crayons Giving Corps, a volunteer leadership program for teens, college students, and adults.

The C2C Giving Corps will enable us to increase our capacity and impact by serving as leaders trained to:

• lead teams of volunteers in the Giving Factory, and to
• mobilize volunteers in communities throughout Philadelphia.

All Giving Corps members will have the opportunity to participate in Giving Corps training, networking, and community building programs designed to increase their leadership skills and to build a stronger sense of community and purpose for helping those in need.

There are three different Giving Corps Teams:

C2C College Corps Interns

C2C College Corps Interns will be immersed in our operations and take on a leadership role overseeing volunteer groups. Interns will work closely with the C2C staff to maintain successful warehouse operations and to identify and implement new approaches for improving our volunteer experience. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in Giving Corps training and networking sessions designed to help them learn first-hand about the factors that drive a successful social enterprise and will put that knowledge to use as they develop and implement new ideas at C2C. C2C Teen Leadership Corps (TLC)

This unique and established program for teen leaders develops leadership and organizational skills while making a difference in the lives of children in need. TLC members will work together and in coordination with the College Corps and will have the opportunity to develop their skills with hands-on projects including: coordinating their own product drive, leading volunteer groups at the Giving Factory, fundraising, and spreading the word about C2C. C2C Champion Corps

The C2C Champion Corps members are adult volunteers who take a leadership role to help recruit and guide volunteers in their communities and/or in the Giving Factory. Opportunities for Champion Corps members to help us increase our impact and serve more children include: developing and coordinating community drives, recruiting Giving Factory Volunteers, leading volunteer teams in the Giving Factory, and building awareness of Cradles to Cradles events.
