Families and Individuals
Cradles to Crayons began as an effort by one individual who was determined to make a difference in the world. Today, the Cradles to Crayons community numbers thousands of youth and adults working together to make a difference in the lives of tens of thousands of children each year.
Cradles to Crayons offers families the opportunity to teach their children, age 6 & older, the values of service and philanthropy while volunteering together to help children and families in need.
At the Cradles to Crayons warehouse, your volunteer work could include a range of tasks – from sorting and processing donated children’s items, cleaning and testing toys, inspecting clothing for rips and stains, sorting books by age categories, or matching up outfits for clothing packs, all while keeping in mind our mantra: Quality = Dignity. It’s all fun, hands-on work that directly benefits homeless and low-income children in need in Greater Philadelphia!
